How to Use

How to Use Shampoo
1. Wet your hair completely

Use warm water (not hot).

Make sure your hair is fully soaked — shampoo spreads and lathers best on very wet hair.

2. Use the right amount of shampoo

Short hair: a dime–nickel size

Medium hair: a quarter size

Long/thick hair: about a half dollar size

Too much can cause buildup; too little may not clean effectively.

3. Apply shampoo to your scalp (roots)

Focus on the scalp and roots, where oil and sweat accumulate.

Start at the hairline, crown, and nape of the neck.

You don’t need to scrub the ends—lather will cleanse them as you rinse.

4. Massage gently

Use your fingertips, not your nails.

Massage in small circular motions for 20–30 seconds.

This boosts circulation and loosens dirt/oil.

5. Rinse thoroughly

Rinse until your hair feels clean and there’s no slippery or soapy feeling left.

Proper rinsing prevents buildup and dullness.

6. Repeat only if needed

A second shampoo pass is helpful if:

Hair is very oily

You used heavy styling products

It’s been several days since your last wash

7. Follow with conditioner

Apply conditioner from mid-length to ends (not the scalp).

Leave it on for 1–3 minutes, then rinse.

Optional Tips

Frequency: Most people wash every 2–3 days, but it depends on your hair type and lifestyle.

Avoid hot water: It can dry out hair and scalp.

Don’t pile hair on your head: It can cause tangling.
